dc.description.abstract | El objetivo del estudio es interpretar la trama de significados en la imagen publicitaria de las mujeres en los comerciales televisivos, dado que la imagen femenina está cada vez más influenciada por los lineamientos de la industria cultural y del mercado. Desde la perspectiva epistemológica, el estudio se fundamenta en los estudios sociológicos, de género y de comunicación con el enfoque sobre violencia simbólica de Bourdieu y los aportes de van Zoonen, Radl Philipp y Fagoaga, entre otros. La investigación se abordó metodológicamente a través del análisis de contenido de una muestra representativa de veinte comerciales, seleccionados aleatoriamente a partir de un universo constituido por los mensajes publicitarios, protagonizados por mujeres y transmitidos por dos canales privados de televisión abierta en Venezuela, durante el primer semestre de 2013. Los resultados dan cuenta de la necesidad de concientización de la sociedad venezolana con respecto al ser y el hacer de las mujeres venezolanas en relación con la imagen corporal, supeditada en la actualidad al dominio simbólico mediático. | en_ES |

dc.description.abstracteng | The objective of the study is to interpret the plot of meanings in the advertising image of women in television commercials since, the image of women is increasingly influenced by the guidelines of the cultural industry and the market. By the epistemological perspective, the study is based on sociological studies, gender and communication with the focus on symbolic violence of Bourdieu, the contributions of van Zoonen, Radl Phillip and Fagoaga, between others. The research is methodologically addressed through the content analysis of a representative sample of commercial twenty randomly selected from a universe consisting of advertisements, featuring women, transmitted by two private TV stations opened in Venezuela during the first half of 2013. Results demonstrated the need for awareness of venezuelan society with respect to being and doing of venezuelan women in relation to body image, subject to the media today symbolic domain. | en_ES |
