| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de la presente investigación fue entender y promover el reconocimiento de la orientación sexual homosexual en un grupo de personas gay y lesbianas. Se desarrolló median-te metodología de investigación acción en la que participaron 20 personas gay y lesbianas mayores de edad. Este estudio muestra que el proceso del reconocimiento de la orientación sexual homo-sexual en los participantes implicó redefinir las construcciones sociales negativas, dando lugar a: (a) un empoderamiento personal, desarrollando el sentido de sí mismo, (b) un empoderamiento de los homosexuales en sus relaciones, facilitando la capa-cidad de negociar e influir en las decisiones frente a su orientación sexual y, (c) un empoderamiento colectivo, concientizando sobre la necesidad de que los homosexuales trabajen conjuntamente. | en_ES |
