Abstract:
El 21 de septiembre de 2014, el turista francés Hervé Gourdel fue secuestrado en Argelia por Jund al-Khilafa (Soldados del Califato), un grupo vinculado al Estado Islámico. Tres días más tarde, el 24 de septiembre, la propia organización difundió un vídeo en Internet, bajo el título “Mensaje de sangre para el Gobierno francés”, en el que se veía la decapitación del rehén. A raíz de esos acontecimientos, el filósofo Abdennour Bidar escribió, el 29 de septiembre, una carta abierta al mundo musulmán, la misma que volvió a circular en las redes tras el atentado terrorista perpetrado en París el miércoles 7 de enero contra el semanario satírico francés Charlie Hebdo.
