following theorists as the basis of our argumentation: Bernárdez (1995), Chaudron (2000), Saussure (2005) in linguistics; Popper (1962), Bunge (1976), Hernandez, Fernandez and Baptista (2003) and Blaxter, Hughes and Tight (2008) in the research theory and Kintsch and van Dijk (1978), Lopez (1994), Irrazabal and Molinari (2005), González-Marquez, Becker and Cutting (2007), Rasinger (2008) in research and experimentation in linguistics. To achieve our purpose we divided the article into three axes. In the first part we work on the notions of investigating and experimenting and we make a brief presentation of those sciences in which has been traditionally worked with experimental designs. Subsequently, we define what linguistics is, linguistics as a science, and we present an overview of the type of research that has been carried out from linguistics and its interdisciplinary work. Finally, we focus on the central issue of this work, from two types of experimentation in linguistics, namely: the experimental phonetics and the experimental psycholinguistics. |
