dc.description.abstract	La empatía ha sido un constructo teórico trabajado desde corrientes muy diversas. A lo largo de la historia, ha existido un fuerte debate teórico sobre su naturaleza. En principio, tras la pregunta de si era un fenómeno cognitivo o emocional, lo cual parece superarse tras el enfoque integrador de Davis (1980, 1983), quien plantea que tanto los aspectos cognitivos como emocionales son parte del mismo fenómeno.Sin embargo, en los actuales desarrollos sobre la empatía, aún persisten diferencias. En esta ocasión son producto de las diversas corrientes que se han ocupado del fenómeno de la empatía, desde la mirada de biólogos, educadores, psicólogos, neurólogos, entre otros, llevando el término a expresar diferentes asuntos de acuerdo con el modelo que lo enuncia.El presente artículo trata esas diferentes acepciones de la empatía, hallando la relevancia que el término tiene desde cada enfoque.	en_ES

dc.description.abstracteng	Empathy has been a theoretical construct worked from very different currents. Throughout history, there has been a strong theoretical debate about its nature. In principle, after the question of whether it was a cognitive or emotional phenomenon, which seems to be overcome after the integrative approach of Davis (1980,1983), who suggested that both cognitive and emotional aspects are part of the same phenomenon.However, in the current developments of empathy, there are still differences. This time they are product of the various currents that have addressed the phenomenon of empathy, from the perspective of biologists, educators, psychologists, neurologists, and others, taking the term to express different issues according to the model that stated it.This article discusses these different meanings of empathy, finding the relevance that the term has from each approach	en_ES
