This article develops some aspects of adoption, primarily focusing on the emotional impact and the emotional ties of the reunion of the triad: adoptive family, adopted son/daughter and biological family. Objective: To understand the emotional experience and the impact on the emotional ties that the reunion produces. Method: Qualitative Design, descriptive phenomenological approach with 7 participating families. Results: The reunion has contributed to the (re) structuring of a positive personal and social identity of the adopted people interviewed, it has enabled a (re) valorization of family affective bonds, it has allowed the (re) signification of the adopted personhood and a new sense against the beliefs of refusal or neglect in them. Conclusion: the reunion between adopted children and their birth families is a right and a positive strategy that contributes to the healthy development of the children adopted, especially when you have the professional, institutional and adoptive family support. |
