pertenece a 50 personas, 25 hombres y 25 mujeres.

The following research analyzed the associations between internalized homophobia,
social stigma, and stress in a group of gays and lesbians in the city of Medellín. The Perceived
Stress Scale (EPP-10), the Heterosexual Attitudes towards Homosexuality Scale (HATH) and the
Homonegativity Test were applied. The sample includes 50 people, 25 men and 25 women. It
was found that when the comparison is made between men and women there are statistically
significant differences in homonegativity and perceived stress, where men have higher rates of
homonegativity and stress. Significant and positive results were also evidenced in the
correlations, where the highest and significant correlation was that of homonegativity and stress,
which obtained a correlation coefficient that places it as a moderate correlation. It is concluded
that the higher the homonegativity experienced by the subject, the higher the levels of perceived
stress. |
