datos; la primera es la tabla bibliográfica, constituida por #; título de artículo; sustancia; año;
en pacientes con cáncer; depresión resistente al tratamiento; estrés postraumático; adicción;

A state of the art with a qualitative approach was carried out on the therapeutic uses of
psychedelics for therapeutic intervention published in scientific journals in some Western
countries from 2016 to 2020. The information was obtained through electronic resources offered
by the Envigado University Institution, although lectures, books, graduate work, documentaries,
news, interviews and others were also used to complement the research. Likewise, different tools
such as tables were used to organize the data; the first is the bibliographic table, made up of #;
article title; substance; year; magazine; country; use of the substance / disorder / condition and
tracking link, the second are the tables of contents that were created in relation to the objectives
of the research and served to analyze the information among themselves once it was tabulated in
the bibliographic table. With the results of the analysis, graphs were created that allowed to
visualize and better understand the information contained in the tables. It was found that the
substances most used in therapeutic intervention were DMT, MDMA, LSD and Psilocybin, in
addition it was known that the USA, UK (England) and Switzerland were the countries with the
highest number of published investigations with psychedelics worldwide in indexed scientific
journals. Likewise, a use of psychedelics was evidenced for conditions such as depression,
anxiety and anguish in cancer patients; treatment resistant depression; posttraumatic stress;
addiction; social anxiety in autism; empathy and meditation. All this helped to understand the
panorama and the scientific advance that is being carried out globally in the field of psychedelic
substances. |
