Abstract:
Este capítulo examina la caracterización de cementos de aluminato de calcio (CAC) con 52% en peso y 71% en peso de contenido de alúmina. Las muestras de pasta de cemento se fabricaron en proporciones de agua a cemento de 0,4 y 0,5 (a / c). La microestructura tanto de los polvos de cemento crudo como de sus correspondientes muestras se caracterizaron después de la hidratación mediante microscopía electrónica de barrido, difracción de rayos X (XRD), fluorescencia de rayos X (XRF), granulometría, pruebas de densidad y compresión. La principal desventaja del CAC es que durante el proceso de hidratación se requiere un estricto control de parámetros y variables como la proporción de agua o cemento, temperatura, humedad y tamaño de grano. Los granos de textura fina se deben principalmente a una velocidad de enfriamiento más rápida durante la fabricación del cemento, mientras que los granos de textura más gruesa son el resultado de una velocidad de enfriamiento más lenta.
