La presente investigación se concentró en describir las creencias de genero de las docentes que imparten educación básica a un grupo de niños del Centro de Desarrollo Infantil en el Municipio de Nechi, Antioquia. Este tópico es importante para la psicología social porque entender estas creencias en el contexto educativo, facilita la comprensión de la gran variedad de problemáticas humanas que influyen en el comportamiento de las personas, abordando la percepción, interpretación y reconocimiento de los diferentes contextos de interacción cultural y las formas en las que sus representaciones son compartidas, difundidas y/o adoptadas (Moñivas, 1994). Para lograr este objetivo se seleccionó un enfoque cualitativo con diseño fenomenológico con nivel descriptivo. La obtención de los resultados fue lograda con la aplicación de dos instrumentos: una ficha estructurada de condiciones sociodemográficas y un cuestionario semiestructurado para el reconocimiento de las creencias centrales respecto a identidad de género y sexual, aplicadas a una muestra compuesta por cuatro docentes. Las conclusiones de este trabajo evidenciaron que existen creencias estereotipadas en las docentes, en las cuales la condición biológica, los colores utilizados y los elementos de cada infante, determinan su identidad sexual y de género. Así mismo, fue contundente el hecho de que las docentes sienten que no pueden abordar estos temas al interior del plantel educativo porque pueden intervenir negativamente en la elección del sujeto. Respecto a las prácticas educativas, la creencia central fue que los docentes no tienen las herramientas necesarias para incluir género y sexualidad en el contenido del aula.
The present research focused on describing the gender beliefs of teachers who teach basic education to a group of children from the Child Development Center in the Municipality of Nechi, Antioquia. This topic is important for social psychology because understanding these beliefs in the educational context facilitates the understanding of the great variety of human problems that influence people's behavior, addressing the perception, interpretation, and recognition of the different contexts of cultural interaction. and the ways in which their representations are shared, disseminated and/or adopted (Moñivas, 1994). To achieve this objective, a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design was selected. Obtaining the results was achieved with the application of two instruments: a structured sheet of sociodemographic conditions and a semi-structured questionnaire for the recognition of central beliefs regarding gender and sexual identity, applied to a sample composed of four teachers. The conclusions of this work showed that there are stereotypical beliefs among teachers in which the biological condition, the colors used, and the elements of each infant determine their sexual and gender identity. Likewise, the fact that teachers feel that they cannot address these issues within the educational establishment because they can negatively intervene in the choice of the subject was conclusive. Regarding educational practices, the central belief was that teachers do not have the necessary tools to include gender and sexuality in classroom content.
